The Mainsail Tack attachment point, when not built into the boom end, is usually mounted on a
Vertical Gooseneck Bolt.
A variety of Gooseneck Tack Brackets for use with a Vertical Bolt are listed below.
Some Tack Assemblies are available already welded to a vertical Gooseneck Bolt,
and are listed below, as well. Gooseneck Tack Assemblies with integral Reef Hooks are listed separately. See: Reef Hook/Tack Assemblies. Please note: If using these items on a mast which has a vertical Gooseneck Pin, it must be replaced with a vertical Gooseneck Bolt and a Nut, as you will now have the full tension of the main halyard on it. A cotter pin is not strong enough to take this shear load. Order Gooseneck vertical Bolts separately, please specify diameter and length from under head. |

Stainless Steel Tack Bracket mounts under head of 1/4" Vertical Gooseneck Bolt. Unit features captive 3/16" Spring Pin to secure Tack. Tack Bracket is (maximum) 3/4" wide x 1 1/2" high, and has 5/8" wide x 1" high clearance for Tack, Assembly is formed from 5/8" x 1/16" SS Strap.
