Ronstan Rope Clutches
Ronstan has produced a variety of Rope Clutches (Halyard or Sheet Stoppers, or Line Jammers) since 1982. Early versions were unique in that they were able to be mounted vertically or horizontally (flat). They had a Stainless Steel Rod Handle and are no longer available. Newer units are listed below, but all are currently out of production. Replacement Handles and Parts for the units below, are also listed.

Ronstan Single Rope Clutch: RF 1397X:

Ronstan Type 2 Single Rope Clutch is designed for use with line from 1/4"-3/8" (6-10mm) diameter. Attaches to Deck with (2) 8mm (5/16") FH screws (or 6mm (1/4") FH screws with included screw inserts) on 3 3/4" (95mm) centers. Base is (maximum) 4 1/2" long x 1 1/4" wide. Unit is (maximum) 2 7/8" high (with handle down). Suitable for most applications on boats to 28' LOA. - Limited Availability.

 
Ronstan Single Rope Clutch: RF 1398X:

Ronstan Type 3 Single Rope Clutch is designed for use with line from 5/16"-3/8" (8-10mm) diameter. Attaches to Deck with (2) 8mm (5/16") FH screws (or 6mm (1/4") FH screws with included screw inserts) on 3 3/4" (95mm) centers. Base is (maximum) 4 1/2" long x 1 3/8" wide. Unit is (maximum) 2 7/8" high (with handle down). Suitable for most applications on boats to 30' LOA. - Limited Availability.
