| Masts that use a track for Mainsail Sail Slides
or Slugs (as opposed to a Boltrope) require a means of keeping the Sail Slides captive so that they
don't fall out when the sail is lowered or reefed. Mainsail Gates allow the Sail Slides to slide past the Gate entrance without

| Hinged Sail Gates | ||
| Hinged Mainsail Gates are normally mounted above the height of the stacked mainsail slides, the sail is loaded by putting the lowest slide in first. When the Gate is closed the Mainsail is captive. | ||

Hinged Mainsail Gate Assembly: MM MG-H1:
Hinged Mainsail Gate assembly fits a variety of older MetalMast Sections. Gate is 1 3/4" high x (maximum) 2 1/4" wide. Base is 1 3/4" wide x 11/16" high and projects (maximum) 1/2" from Mast surface. Base attaches to Mast with (2) #6 FH screws on 5/16" vertical centers. Extruded Aluminum Gate is easily distinguished from others of its type by the attachment holes being vertical and the fact of its being Extruded. Used on a variety of Spars built in the 1960's through the 1980's, Especially common on Pearson and Bristol Yachts.

Aluminum Mainsail Gate fits a variety of older MetalMast Sections. Formed, anodized Aluminum Gate is 1 5/8" high x 2" wide x 1/8" thick and is secured to Mast with (1) 1/4-20 Thumb screw (included), in slot that is 1/4" x 1 1/8" long.

| Sail Slide Stops for Boltrope Groove Track | ||

Sail Slide Stop for Boltrope Groove: K-11198:
Sail Slide Stop works to keep sail slides from coming out of the sail entrance when the mainsail is lowered. Aluminum Slide Stop is 7/16" diameter x 1" long with a # 10-32 SS thumb screw, thumb screw features captive nylon washer to prevent damage to mast surface.

Sail Slide Stop for 3/4" Flat Groove: K-11198-F6: SS thumb screw in 3/4" wide Flat stop works to keep sail slides from coming out of the sail gate when the mainsail is lowered.

SS Spring Pin Sail Slide Stop fits all mast sections with track for 3/4" internal flat slides. Superior design allows Slide Stop to remain captive in mast track. Gate cutout (1 3/4" high) is made just 1" above SS Gooseneck bracket. Spring pin fits in 1/4" hole drilled at top of cutout, and slides down into recess beneath Gooseneck Bracket when Spring pin is pulled. This design allows sail slides to come as close as possible to the gooseneck while remaining in track, and eliminates problems associated with slides snagging while going past a normal sail gate. Plate is 2 1/2" long with a 1/4" spring pin. 73-97 6106 74-66

Plate is 2 1/2" long with a 1/4" spring pin. For use with all mast Sections using a 7/8" or 15/16" flat internal luff track.

|
Hinged Gate Stop for Sailtrack: Sch 74-65X:
Hinged 'knife-switch' type Gate fits both 5/8" and 7/8" Sailtrack. SS Gate Assembly fits underneath Sailtrack and attaches to Mast with one of the Sailtrack attachment screws. Assembly is made from 3/8" stock and is (maximum) 2" wide with a hole for up to a #8 screw. Used on Masts with Sailtrack for the Mainsail and/or Trysail. |
