RR #4025 Gooseneck Assemblies & Parts Original RR #4025 Goosenecks used by Pearson and Bristol Yachts were of the Roller Reefing variety. A spring-loaded Aluminum shaft fits into a recess in the boom casting, reefing is accomplished by pulling aft on the boom and rolling it and the sail at the same time. All parts are listed here, as well as substitutes for all standard configurations.

Cast aluminum Gooseneck fitting for RR #4025 Boom
includes captive SS tack pin, and Roller Reefing Gooseneck Shaft Assembly with Spring and
1 1/2" extruded Toggle (PP B2AST). Toggle is suitable for
use with any Gooseneck Slide or Bracket designed for a 1 1/2" Toggle and a 1/4"
vertical Pin. Captive SS tack pin is superior to original Pearson threaded Tack Pin which
was easily misplaced. Note: Gooseneck Shaft can be drilled for additional
Cotter Pin hole immediately behind Boom End Casting (and used without Spring) to eliminate

Cast aluminum Gooseneck fitting for RR #4025 Boom includes captive SS tack pin, and Roller Reefing Gooseneck Shaft (PP B2) with Spring (PP B3). Extruded Gooseneck Slide fits RR #4025 Mast Section, and some other Teardrop-shaped mast sections with a 1/2" boltrope groove. Aluminum Gooseneck Slide is 3" high x 5/8" wide and uses a 1/4" vertical pin. Aft side has 1 5/8" cutout for Gooseneck Toggle, and features 1/4" hole for downhaul line or shackle. Includes vertical Pin and nylon washers to eliminate chafe against Toggle. As used on Pearson 22, Ensign, Electra and others.

Aluminum Gooseneck Slide fits most Mast Sections with a 3/4" flat internal track. Gooseneck Slide
is 4" high x 3/4" wide and uses a 1/4" vertical pin. Aft side has 1 5/8" cutout for Gooseneck

Cast aluminum gooseneck end without Tack, for RR #4025 Boom. Casting has 1 1/2" square recess in forward end with 1/2" hole for attachment of SS yoke. Frequently used by Pearson on Mizzen Booms.

RR #4025 Bails and Vang Fittings | ||
Boom Bail - 3/8" x 2 3/4" wide: K-2223:
Heavy SS Boom Bail made from 3/8" rod is designed to be attached with (1) 3/8" SS bolt and nut. Formed at 2 3/4" wide, width can be varied to fit larger or smaller sections. Bail length, from bolt center, is 3 1/2". For use with RR #4025 boom.

Boom Bail Bolt Ass'y - 3/8" for #4025 Boom: K-2223BA:
Boom Bail bolt assembly includes 3/8" SS bolt x 3 1/2", with locknut and nylon washers to prevent bail from damaging boom surface as it pivots. For use with K-2223 Boom Bails on RR #4025 boom.

Internal Boom Bail: K-11428:
Heavy 5/16" SS bail is welded to a SS plate formed to fit the inside of the boom. Unit is mounted inside the boom, where bail protrudes through a 5/16" x 1 1/2" slot, and is held in place with (2) SS rivets on 3 1/4" centers. Curved plate measures 4" long x 1 3/8" wide.

Boom Vang Ball Attachment Plate for #4025: Sch 90-50X:
Formed SS plate for attachment of Boom Vang with 1/8" wire swage ball. Allows for quick attachment and removal of Boom Vang, raised channel design allows easy installation without milling slot in boom. Channel projects approximately 3/8" from underside of Boom when installed. Formed Stainless Steel plate is 2 1/8" long x 2" high. Fastens with (4) 3/16" (#10) screws or rivets.

Formed SS plate for attachment of Boom Vang with 1/8" wire swage ball. Allows for quick attachment and removal of Boom Vang, Flush mounting design allows use with Roller-Reefing booms. Formed Stainless Steel plate is 4" long x 2 1/2" wide. Mounting requires 3/8" wide x 1 1/4" long slot in Boom. Fastens with (10) 3/16" (#10) screws or rivets.

Boom Vang Wire Pennant w/ Swage Ball: K-2182WP:
Wire Pennant for attachment of Boom Vang to Boom Vang Ball Attachment Plate. Pennant is 1/8" wire with swage ball and shank (MS20664-4) on one end and a nicopress and thimble on the other. Thimble allows attachment of any upper Vang block. Assembly is 6" long. Ball is suitable for all Ball Attachment Plates with a slot that is 1/4" wide or less.

Cast aluminum Outhaul Cap for RR #4025 Boom covers outboard boom end and includes 2 swiveling tangs for mainsheet and/or topping lift attachment. Swiveling attachments for mainsheet and topping lift are required for use with roller-reefing goosenecks.

Outhaul Lug: PP B10:
Extruded aluminum Outhaul Lug has tab with 2 holes for outhaul, and/or topping lift attachment. Lug is 1 1/2" long and fits any Boom Section with a 1/2" Boltrope groove. Lug slides into groove and is secured at outboard end with a screw through boom wall into lug. |
