Double Shroud Clevis Tangs

Double Shroud Clevis Tangs Clevis Tangs come with a Clevis Pin and are used to attach rigging which uses Eye fittings. Double Clevis Tangs are used on rigs with Double Lower Shrouds, and come with (2) Clevis Pins. See also, Single Clevis Tangs, Tangs Main Page and Clevis Pins. Pivoting Tangs - mount on a single bolt, with or without a Flange Bushing. Fixed Tangs - attach to the Mast with multiple fasteners, allowing no fore and aft movement.

Pivoting Double Clevis Tangs Pivoting Double Clevis Tangs are commonly used in Double Lower Shroud applications. They mount on a single Bolt of the size indicated, or with a Flange Bushing and a smaller Bolt. Larger Pivoting Tangs will, in many applications, require use of Flange Bushings and/or Tang Bearing Plates.

Tapered SS Double Clevis Tang with 1/4" Pins was designed for use with (2) Lower Shrouds up to 5/32" diameter using standard Eyes. Triangular Double Tang is 2 3/4" long x 1 9/16" wide (at bottom) x .60" with (1) 5/16" mounting hole, and includes (2) 1/4" Clevis Pins. SS Double Lower Shroud Tang Set with 1/2" Pins was designed for use with (4) Lower Shrouds up to 9/32" diameter using standard Marine Eyes. Set includes (2) Double Tangs and (4) 1/2" Clevis Pins. Double Tang is 6" long x 2 1/4" wide x .120" with (1) 3/4" mounting hole. Pin centers are 3 1/8" (upper) and 4 1/4" (lower) from mounting hole and are 1 1/2" (diagonally) apart. Mounts with (1) 3/4" bolt, or with Flange Bushings (K-10455) and a 1/2" bolt for applications where weight is a concern. Used on a variety of Cape Dory Yachts, and others. Commonly used with Tapered Bearing Plates and Flange Bushings, allowing for attachment to the mast with (2) 1/2" bolts. See *SP-753BPA,* below.
	Backing Plate Ass'y w/ Flange Bushings: SP-753BPA: Recommended for standard applications, this Assembly allows for attachment of SP-753K Tang Set with (2) 1/2" bolts. Includes (2) Tapered Bearing Plates (K-11216-S1), and (2) 3/4" OD Flange Bushings (*K-10455S). Mounting requires (1) 1/2" and (1) 3/4" hole in each side of mast. Used with SP-765* and SP-766 Spreader Bases, and SP-753K, Lower Shroud Tangs, and in a variety of other applications.
	Tapered SS Bearing Plate w/ 3/4" hole: K-11216-S1: Tapered SS Bearing Plate has (1) 1/2" hole and (1) 3/4" hole for use with bolts of those sizes, or with SS Flange Bushings and smaller bolts. Tapered Plate is 3 1/2" long x 1" wide (at top) x 2" wide (at bottom) x 3/32" (.098") thick, with (2) holes on 1 3/4" centers, and is contoured for use with most Mast Sections. Used with *SP-765* and *SP-766* Spreader Bases and SP-753K Lower Shroud Tangs.
	Flange Bushing - 3/4" OD x 1/2" ID: K-10455S: SS Flange Bushing is 3/4" OD x 1/2" ID. Used with a 1/2" bolt it replaces a 3/4" bolt in Shroud Tang applications to achieve significant weight reduction without any attendant reduction in bearing surface. 3/4" OD Flange Bushing is 3/4" long, Flange Head is 7/8" diameter x 1/8" thick. Triangular SS Plate is 5 1/4" long x 1" wide (at top) x 2 1/2" wide (at bottom) x 3/16" thick, and is slightly contoured for use with most Mast Sections. Mounting requires (1) 1" and (2) 5/8" holes. Commonly used with Sch 84-29 Double Clevis Tang assembly, and other Tangs with a 1" hole.
	Flange Bushing – 1" OD x 3/4" ID: K-10455-1: SS Flange Bushing is 1" OD x 3/4" ID. Used with a 3/4" bolt it replaces a 1" bolt in Shroud Tang applications to achieve significant weight reduction without any attendant reduction in bearing surface while eliminating stress on the mounting bolt thread. 1" OD Flange Bushing is 1 7/16" long, Flange Head is 1 1/4" diameter x 3/16" thick.

Tapered Double Tang is 7 1/2" long x 2" wide (at top) x 4" wide (at bottom) x 3/16" (.186") with (1) 3/4" mounting hole, and includes (2) 3/4" Clevis Pins.
