50mm OD Spinnaker Pole End Fittings Pole End Fittings are divided into several categories, listed below. Standard End Fittings are suitable for use on the Outboard end of the Pole, and on the Inboard end when a Ring Car (or a fixed Mast Ring) is used on the Mast. Their use on both ends is required when using an End for End jibing procedure. -- See also: Spinnaker Cars. Special Inboard Ends are available, such as Reaching Strut Ends. End Fitting Adapters, or Collars, allow the use of a larger diameter tube with end fittings designed for a smaller one.

Standard Pole Ends for 50mm OD Tube Listed below are Standard End Fittings - suitable for use on the Outboard end of the Pole, and on the Inboard end when a Ring Car (or a fixed Mast Ring) is used on the Mast. Their use on both ends is required when using an End for End jibing procedure.

EL Piston End for 50mm OD Tube: RF P166-50: Composite EL End has SS Piston with handy thumb tab and hole for attachment of trip line. Angled SS Piston Tab allows for quick attachment by pressing against Ring. Black molded end projects 65mm (2 9/16") maximum, from tube end.
Aluminum Piston End for 50mm OD Tube: EFM-50XPZ: Cast aluminum Z-Spar Piston End incorporates bails for attachment of pole lift and foreguy bridles, Piston has shackle for attachment of a Trip wire. Piston End has a stainless steel spring-loaded plunger pin that must be manually retracted by pulling on a lanyard, to attach the fitting to a ring or guy. Black anodized fitting projects 90mm (3 1/2"), maximum, from tube end. Special Narrow Pole End is the only one that will fit standard Z-Spar Toggle Z-73-ZNT.
Aluminum Piston End for 50mm OD Tube: RF 1661: Cast aluminum Piston End incorporates bails for attachment of pole lift and foreguy bridles, Piston has shackle for attachment of a Trip wire. Piston End has a stainless steel spring-loaded plunger pin that must be manually retracted by pulling on a lanyard, to attach the fitting to a ring or guy. Black anodized fitting projects 110mm (4 3/8"), maximum, from tube end.
Aluminum Internal Piston End for 50mm OD Tube: Har B141-50:
Cast aluminum Piston End incorporates bails for attachment of pole lift and foreguy (or bridles), Piston has internal attachment for remote Trip wire, as well as an external slide lever, allowing for operation while at the fitting. Barbarossa/Harken Piston End has a stainless steel spring-loaded plunger pin that must be manually retracted by pulling on a lanyard (or lever), to attach the fitting to a ring or guy. Black anodized fitting projects 98mm (3 7/8"), maximum, from tube end. This item is no longer available and is shown here for identification only.

Special Outboard Pole Ends for 50mm OD Tube Listed below are Special Outboard Pole Ends. Fittings listed here are for Outboard use only, and are not compatible with any standard Mast fittings or Cars.

Reaching Strut End for 50mm OD Tube: Barb B149-50: Cast aluminum Reaching Strut End for 50mm OD Standard Spinnaker Pole Tube has sheave for up to 3/4" line. Gray anodized end has heavy finger on upper side and projects 85mm (3 3/8") from tube end, 35mm (1 3/8") OD Sheave bearing surface is 1 1/2" from tube end.

End Fitting Adapters Adapting Collars allow End Fittings to be used with larger diameter tube. This sometimes results in a net weight savings, and often allows for configurations otherwise unavailable. Please Note that adapting collars can be used together, but have ID's designed for End Fittings and can not be used for sleeving two sizes of tubing together. As always, special sizes are available on a Custom basis.

50mm End Fitting Adapter for 60mm OD Tube: EFM-AC50-60:
Composite Plastic Tube Adapting Collar allows use of most any End Fitting for 50mm OD Standard Spinnaker Pole Tube with 60mm OD Standard Spinnaker Pole Tube. Black Composite Collar is 41mm (1 5/8") long and projects 8mm (5/16") from tube end.
50mm End Fitting Adapter for 60mm OD Tube: EFM-AC50-60A:
Cast Aluminum Tube Adapting Collar allows use of any End Fitting for 50mm OD Standard Spinnaker Pole Tube with 60mm OD Standard Spinnaker Pole Tube. Black Anodized Collar is 35mm (1 3/8") long and projects 10mm (3/8") from tube end.
50mm End Fitting Adapter for 70mm OD Tube: EFM-AC50-70A:
Cast Aluminum Tube Adapting Collar allows use of most any End Fitting for 50mm OD Standard Spinnaker Pole Tube with 70mm OD Standard Spinnaker Pole Tube. Black Anodized Collar is 60mm (2 3/8") long and projects 25mm (1") from tube end.
