Foot Blocks Foot Blocks, Turning Blocks or Deck Blocks are essentially heavy-duty Cheek Blocks designed to attach to the Deck, and handle the huge loads associated with Genoa and Spinnaker Sheets and Guys. Usually mounted on the aft quarters, they turn the sheet 180°, taking twice the load of the sheet itself. Often available in single and double versions, and sometimes with an integral (or separate) angle pad to better align with the winch. Harken Foot Block features 3" Aluminum Sheave with High Load Ball & Roller Bearing construction.
Harken "Big Boat" Sheave (Har 500) is 3" OD x 7/8" wide x 3/8" ID, with wire/rope
V-groove. Unit is 4 1/2" long x 3 1/16" wide x 1 3/16" high, and attaches to deck with (1) 3/8"
and (2) 5/16" bolts.
Plastic isolation washers and SS washers are included, bolts must be purchased separately.
Suitable for use with up to 9/16" line, safe working load is 3500 lbs..
As used on a variety of boats in the 30-35' range.

Nicro-Fico SS Foot Block features 3" Delrin Sheave for use with up to 5/8" line. Unit is 3 3/4" long x 2 7/8" wide x 1 1/2" high, and attaches to deck with (1) 3/8" and (2) 1/4" screws (included). Sheave is 3" OD x 1 1/4" wide x 1/2" ID. As used on a variety of boats in the 24-28' range.

Nicro-Fico SS Foot Block features 3" Asymmetric Delrin Sheave for use with up to 5/8" line. Sheave is designed to take sheets from up to 30° overhead, especially for use with Spinnaker sheets. Unit is 3 3/4" long x 2 7/8" wide x 1 1/2" high, and attaches to deck with (1) 3/8" and (2) 1/4" screws (included). Sheave is 3" OD (2" OD at the bottom) x 1 1/4" wide x 1/2" ID. As used on a variety of boats in the 24-28' range. |
