Schaefer Spinnaker Halyard Stoppers

Schaefer Spinnaker Halyard Stoppers Designed to be mounted on the Mast, these original Schaefer Halyard Stoppers have a flat profile making them suitable in many other applications as well. To quote from Schaefer #11: "When hoisting the Spinnaker, the cam is placed in the closed position. The halyard can be pulled down through the cam easily, but should the spinnaker fill prematurely (before it is completely hoisted) the stopper will grip the halyard and hold it securely until turns can be taken on a winch and the hoist completed. The stopper will also hold the halyard should its winch be needed for other purposes. To lower the spinnaker, the cam is placed in the open position (at this time the halyard should be back on a winch) and the halyard will run through freely."

Base is (maximum) 2 1/2" high x 2 3/8" wide. Unit projects (maximum) 7/8" out from Mast surface. Suitable for use on most boats to 30' LOA. *

Unit projects (maximum) 1 1/8" out from Mast surface. Suitable for use on most boats to 40' LOA.
