Kenyon A Boom Section

Kenyon A-Section Boom Tube Kenyon A-Section Boom is currently out of production, having generally been replaced by the stronger Kenyon B-Section. If you require a replacement boom, the Kenyon B-Section is recommended in all applications where the "A" Section was formerly specified.

A-Section Goosenecks
*A-Section Gooseneck Assembly w/ 3/8" Slide: K-84598-A:* Cast aluminum boom end fitting includes captive SS tack pin and SS yoke, *K-79, 3/4" SS Toggle, K-9267, and SS Gooseneck Slide, K-9138A.* Fits all mast sections using 1/2" or larger round slugs or boltrope. A-Section Roller-Reefing Gooseneck Ass'y w/ 3/8" Slide: K-40216RR-A:
Spring-loaded roller-reefing mechanism works by pulling aft on the boom and turning it in 1/2 turn increments. SS yoke assembly is fixed in a rectangular recess until boom is pulled aft. SS Spring locks yoke into recess when boom is released. Works only with end-boom sheeting systems with swiveling mainsheet and topping lift attachments. Cast aluminum boom end fitting includes captive SS tack pin and SS roller-reefing yoke assembly, *K-8700A, with 3/4" SS Toggle, K-9267, and SS Gooseneck Slide, K-9138A.* Fits all mast sections using 1/2" or larger round slugs or boltrope. This item is no longer available, but components below, are.
	SS Yoke Assembly for 3/4" Toggle: K-79A: SS yoke attaches to A-Section Gooseneck Casting with Tack Pin, *K-B333A, above, using a 1/4" bolt, locknut, and 1" OD washer. Yoke is formed from 5/8" wide stock and is 1" wide (outside), and 13/16" wide (inside), 1/4" hole centers are 11/16" from bottom inside. 3/4" SS Toggle, K-9267*, is attached with a 1/4" SS bolt and locknut (included).
	Roller-Reefing Yoke Ass'y for 3/4" Toggle: K-8700A: SS spring-loaded roller-reefing yoke assembly for use with boom end castings that have a 3/8" hole centered in a 1" x 3/4" rectangular recess. Attaches to 3/4" SS Toggle, *K-9267*, with a 1/4" SS bolt and locknut (included). Post is 3/8" diameter x 3 1/2" long. Includes SS Spring, (2) SS washers, and cotter pin.
	SS Gooseneck Toggle - 3/4": K-9267: SS Gooseneck Toggle attaches directly to any of the Kenyon gooseneck brackets or gooseneck slides designed for a 3/4" toggle, and to any boom end casting using the *K-79* or K8700A SS yoke assemblies. Toggle is 3/4" square x 7/8" long with 1/4" holes at 90 degrees to each other on 3/8" centers.
	SS Gooseneck Slide - 3/4" for Boltrope: K-9138A: SS Gooseneck Slide fits any gooseneck assembly using the standard 3/4" toggle, *K-9267*, with a 1/4" SS clevis pin (included). Slide has heavy welded SS ring for downhaul attachment. Fits all mast sections using 1/2" or larger round slugs or boltrope.

A-Section Outhaul Ends
A-Section Outhaul Assembly w/ 2 Tangs: K-A444-2: Cast aluminum boom end fitting has tab with 2 holes for outhaul, and/or topping lift attachment. Includes 2 swiveling tangs for mainsheet and/or topping lift attachment. Swiveling attachments for mainsheet and topping lift are required for use with roller-reefing goosenecks.

A-Section Boom Accessories
Outhaul Slides A variety of Outhaul Slides are available to fit the 1/2" Boltrope groove in the A-Section Boom. See Outhaul Slides for 1/2" Boltrope Groove.
*Boom Bail - 1/2" Strap x 2 1/2" long: K-291A:* SS Boom Bail is a lightweight formed-strap design, which can be easily contoured to fit a variety of smaller sections. Bail is 1/2" wide x 1/16" thick, and 2 1/2" long. Fastens with (4) 3/16" (#10) fasteners.
*Boom Bail - 1/2" Strap x 3 1/2" long: K-291B:* SS Boom Bail is a lightweight formed-strap design, which can be easily contoured to fit a variety of smaller sections. Bail is 1/2" wide x 1/16" thick, and 3 1/2" long. Fastens with (4) 3/16" (#10) fasteners.
*Boom Bail - 1/4" x 1 3/4" wide: K-S9001:* SS Boom Bail made from 1/2" x 1/16" strap is designed to be attached with (1) 1/4" SS bolt and nut. Formed at 1 3/4" wide, width can be varied to fit larger or smaller sections. Bail length, from bolt center, is 2 1/2" For use with A and B-Section Booms.
	*Boom Bail Bolt Ass'y - 1/4" for A-section: K-S9001BA:* Boom Bail bolt assembly includes 1/4" SS bolt x 2 1/4", with locknut, and nylon washers to prevent bail from damaging boom surface as it pivots.
*Spar Cleat - 3 1/4" long: K-1617:* Cast Aluminum Spar Cleat is a low-profile design with a narrow base suitable for use with line up to 1/4" diameter. Black Epoxy Cleat is 3 1/4" long, and fastens to spar with (2) 5/32" (#8) FH screws.
*Clam Cleat w/ Fairlead & Curved Base: K-9115X:* Clam Cleat with fairlead is used in place of standard Spar Cleat for frequent Outhaul adjustment in racing applications. Best mounted forward of an eyestrap (K-226) with small block (Har 082, or equivalent). Suitable for use with 1/8"-1/4" (3-6mm) line, black plastic unit fastens with (2) #8 x 3/4" FH Screws on 2 5/8" (66mm) centers. Unit measures 3 1/4" long x 11/16" wide (82x18mm). CL203 CC Jr.
*SS Eyestrap: K-226:* Small Stainless Steel Eyestrap is used for securing smaller items to boom. Attaches to Boom with (2) 3/16" (#10, 5mm) screws or rivets.
*Cheek Block w/ Curved Base: K-140X:* Cheek Block with curved base is used on smaller Kenyon Booms for Outhaul and Reef lines. SS Cheek Block has 1 1/16" OD Delrin Sheave suitable for use with line up to 3/8" diameter. Base is 3 3/16" long x 7/8" wide, and fastens to spar with (4) 3/16" (#10) RH screws on 2 11/16" (horizontal) and 1/2" (vertical) centers.
