NF 610 Traveller Track
*Nicro-Fico 1 7/16" X-Track x 3' 6": NF 610-3.5:* *Nicro-Fico 1 7/16" X-Track x 5': NF 610-5:* *Nicro-Fico 1 7/16" X-Track x 6': NF 610-6:* NF 610 Traveller track is a Black hardcote anodized Aluminum X-Track that measures 1 7/16" (37mm) across the top, 1 5/8" (44mm) across the base and is 1 5/16" (33mm) high. Track is drilled for 1/4" (6mm) FH screws on 4" (102mm) centers, and has 3/8" diameter stop holes on 4" (102mm) centers. NF 610 X-Track is available in 3'6", 5', and 6-foot lengths.

NF 610 Traveller Cars & Car Parts
*Standard 4-wheel Traveller Car: NF 587:* Standard Traveller Car for NF 610 X-Track is constructed of aluminum alloy with black delrin wheels and pivoting shackle attachment with 5/16" Clevis Pin. Screws for attachment of optional NF 836 Control blocks are included. Car is 3 3/8" long with a maximum width of 3 1/8", and has an ultimate tensile strength of 4500 lbs..
*4-wheel Traveller Car w/ Control Blocks: NF 588:* Identical to NF 587 (above), but includes (2) NF 836 Control blocks for up to 7/16" line. Provides for a 3-1 control purchase.
	*Main Sheet Block Attachment Shackle for 4-wheel Car: NF 917:*
	Special SS Main Sheet Block Shackle for use with NF 587 & NF 588 Traveller Cars. Shackle has narrow bail for insertion into clevis on Car, and a wide throat to fit outside clevis using the 5/16" threaded Pin instead of the Car's Clevis Pin. Suitable for attachment to a variety of Main Sheet Blocks. SS Shackle is (inside) 1" deep x 7/8" wide with a 5/16" slotted Screw Pin.
	*Replacement Wheel for NF 610 Traveller Cars: NF 587W:* Replacement wheel for NF 610 Traveller Cars. Turned Black delrin wheel is <15/16" diameter x 1/2" wide x 3/8" ID, and outperforms original molded wheels. As used on NF 587 4-wheel Cars, above, but suitable for replacement applications on all NF 610 Traveller Cars.
	*Control Block w/ Becket for NF 610 Traveller Cars: NF 836:*
	Single SS control block with becket has 1 1/8" delrin sheave (*NF 73) and takes up to 7/16" line. Block has special ferrule with 1/4" hole for attachment to NF 587* & *NF 585* Traveller Cars.

	Assembly consists of NF 836 SS control block, above, with 18' of 3/8" line spliced on to the becket.

*Standard 8-wheel Traveller Car: NF 587-2:* Eight-wheel Traveller Car for NF 610 X-Track is made from (2) NF 587 4-wheel car bodies, joined with a heavy (1/4") triangular SS Plate. This arrangement allows both car halves to articulate separately and avoids uneven loading when used on curved tracks. Car is 7" long with a maximum width of 3 1/8". 8-wheel Car is compatible with *NF 836* Control blocks, add (2) for a 3-1-control purchase. *8-wheel Traveller Car w/ Control Blocks: NF 588-2:* Identical to NF 587-2 (above), but includes (2) NF 836 Control blocks for up to 7/16" line. Car is 11 5/8" long with a maximum width of 3 1/8". Provides for a 3-1 control purchase.
	*Bridge Plate for 8-wheel Traveller Car: NF 587-2BP:* Triangular SS Bridge Plate as included with NF 587-2 8-wheel Traveller Cars can be purchased separately to join two existing 4-wheel Cars. Heavy-duty SS Plate is (maximum) 4 5/8" long x 2 3/8" high x 1/4" thick. Plate has two 5/16" holes for attachment to Traveller Cars, and 1/2" x 7/8" slot for attachment of Mainsheet Block Shackle.

NF 610 Traveller Ends & Stops
*Plastic Track End: NF 611:* Hard molded plastic Track End for NF 610 Track covers track end and attaches to deck with (1) #10 (3/16") FH screw. Extends 1 1/2" beyond track.
*Rubber Track End Stop: NF 611N:* Molded neoprene Track End for NF 610 Track covers sharp edges of track and provides a cushion for Traveller Car. Stop extends 1" beyond track, and is installed with 5/16" pin, *NF 611P* (order separately), through press-fit hole drilled in track, 3/4" from end.
*Pin for Rubber Track End: NF 611P:* SS Pin is used to attach *NF 611N* Rubber Track End. Pin is 5/16" diameter x 2" long.
*Adjustable Track Stop: NF 612:* Adjustable Track Stop for NF 610 Track features SS Spring Pin and rubber bumper to cushion car impact. Used on free-floating car systems without end controls, especially for jib and staysail boom Travellers. Originally used by Boatbuilders to avoid the additional cost of Traveller Controls, this item is no longer available. If your system originally used this part, it is recommended that you switch to a Line Control System, see Line Control Conversion Kits, below.

NF 610 Traveller Control Ends Control Ends for Travellers come in 2 configurations, those that mount on the Track itself, and those that mount on the Deck adjacent to the end of the track. In cockpits, it is also common to use blocks mounted on the cockpit sides for controls. Control Ends are available in a variety of configurations for different purchases with or without cam cleats.
Track-mount Control Ends are available with or without cam cleats for 3-1 purchase systems. As the Track-mount Control Ends do not cover the end of the track, they are normally used with the NF 611 or NF 611N Track Ends (above), which do. New-style Track-mount Control Ends feature easily replaceable sheaves. Old-style units, especially common on Catalina Yachts, have permanently mounted sheaves (of several different sizes), but we can replace the sheaves in them and modify them so the sheaves are removable, if sent to us. This can usually be done for less than half the cost of new units.

For 3-1 purchase systems. Formed SS ends (4" long) slide onto track and are held in place with a captive SS screw that fits into any existing stop hole. For maximum adjustment control ends should be mounted as far apart as possible, it may be necessary to drill a new hole for the SS screw pin to accomplish this. Control line dead-ends on *NF 836* becket block on car, goes around upper control end sheave, back through the block mounted on the car, then around lower control end sheave and through cam cleat.
*Double Sheave, Track-mount Control End: NF 6613:* For 3-1 purchase systems with cleats mounted separately. Formed SS ends (4" long) slide onto track and are held in place with a captive SS screw that fits into any existing stop hole. For maximum adjustment control ends should be mounted as far apart as possible, it may be necessary to drill a new hole for the SS screw pin to accomplish this. Control line dead-ends on *NF 836* becket block on car, goes around upper control end sheave, back through the block mounted on the car, then around lower control end sheave to separate cleat.
Deck-mount Control Ends are cast aluminum with beckets for 2-1 or 3-1 purchase, and extend 5 1/4" beyond track end. Units use 2" diameter sheaves (*NF 16161S), and have recess for NF 16469* Cam Plates, or Cam Cleats can be mounted separately on deck. Mounting screws (3) with nuts and washers are included, longer screws might be necessary for some deck installations. As these units cover the end of the track, separate end stops (NF 611 or *NF 611N) are not* required.
*Single Sheave, Deck-mount Control End w/ Becket: NF 16161:* Cast Single sheave Control End has tab with bumpers that extends 3" over Track surface. Used interchangeably on left and right sides for 2-1 purchase systems. Control line dead-ends on becket, goes through a block mounted on the car, and comes back around Control End sheave to separate cleat. Unit is (maximum) 2 1/4" wide, extends 5 1/8" beyond Track end, and attaches to Deck with (2) 3/16" and a 5/16" FH screw. Includes 2" Delrin Sheaves, NF 16161S, below, and fasteners.

*Cam Plate for Deck-mount Control End: NF 16469:* SS Cam Cleat mounting plate fastens in recess under Deck-mount Control Ends, NF 16161 & *NF 16261.* Provides mount for cam cleat without drilling additional holes in the deck.
*Cam Plate Assembly w/ Cam Cleat: NF 16469A:* SS Cam Cleat with eyestrap attached to *NF 16469* Cam Plate.


Main Sheet Block Assemblies While most Main Sheet Systems used a Main Sheet Block that was shackled to the Traveller Car Clevis, a variety of specialized Main Sheet Block Assemblies were developed for specific OEM applications, all of which featured an integral Spring to keep the Main Sheet Block upright at all times. Main Sheet Block Assemblies listed here are specifically designed for use on Nicro-Fico NF 587 and NF 588 Traveller Cars. NF 610 Traveller Systems Nicro-Fico's NF 610 series Travellers are designed around a hardcote anodized X-Track that measures 1 7/16" across the top. X-Track systems are specially designed to handle off-center loads, and will function well (but not with full strength) with loads up to 20 degrees off vertical.
