| Pearson and Bristol Yachts used the Kenyon D-Section Boom on many of their smaller boats, and developed their own fittings for use with it. Kenyon still manufactures the D-Section Boom and a wide variety of hardware for it, but the fittings listed here are specific to Pearson & Bristol Yachts. Pearson/Bristol D-Section Goosenecks Original D-Section Goosenecks used by Pearson and Bristol Yachts were of the Roller Reefing variety. A spring-loaded Aluminum shaft fit into a recess in the boom casting, reefing was accomplished by pulling aft on the boom and rolling it and the sail at the same time. Most parts are listed here, as well as substitutes for all configurations, but the original Boom Gooseneck casting to fit the 3/4" Roller Reefing Gooseneck Shaft is no longer available. |

Improved Non-Roller-Reefing Gooseneck Assembly includes captive SS tack pin, SS yoke and Heavy-duty Cast Gooseneck Toggle to fit all Gooseneck Slides and Brackets with 1/4" vertical pin and clearance for a 1 1/2" Toggle. As K-2123NT, below, but includes PP B4C Gooseneck Toggle. Order Gooseneck Slides separately, see below.

Improved Non-Roller-Reefing Gooseneck Assembly includes captive SS tack pin, and has SS yoke with 1/4" horizontal pin to fit Pearson extruded or Heavy-duty Cast Gooseneck Toggles.

Aluminum Gooseneck Toggle - 1 1/2" High: PP B4C:
Heavy-duty solid Cast Toggle fits standard Pearson and Bristol Gooseneck Slides and Brackets for 1 1/2" Toggle with 1/4" vertical pin. Toggle is 1 1/2" high x 1 3/8" (maximum) long x 3/4" wide with 1/4" holes at 90 degrees to each other on 13/16" centers. If you require a new Roller-Reefing Gooseneck, this assembly has SS Roller-Reefing yoke for use with Pearson extruded or Heavy-duty Cast Gooseneck Toggles. Spring and 1 1/2" extruded Toggle (PP B4) is used on boom
ends with an oval recess in forward end. Toggle is suitable for use with any Gooseneck
Slide or bracket designed for a 1 1/2" Toggle and a 1/4" vertical Pin. Note:
Gooseneck Shaft can be drilled for additional Cotter Pin hole immediately behind Boom End

Roller Reefing Gooseneck Shaft used on boom ends with an oval recess in forward end. Cast aluminum unit is 4 1/4" long with 3/4" diameter shaft, shaft is 2 3/4" long. Nose is 1 1/2" high x 7/16" wide with hole for 1/4" pin. For use with special Extruded Gooseneck Toggles, listed below. Note: Gooseneck Shaft can be drilled for additional Cotter Pin hole immediately behind Boom End Casting (and used without Spring) to eliminate Roller Reefing feature.

Aft end has 1/2" wide cutout for PP B2 Gooseneck Shaft or boom ends with integral nose. Extruded Gooseneck Slide fits RR #4025 Mast Section, and some other Teardrop-shaped mast sections with a 1/2" boltrope groove. Aluminum Gooseneck Slide is 3" high x 5/8" wide and uses a 1/4" vertical pin. Aft side has 1 5/8" cutout for Gooseneck Toggle, and features 1/4" hole for downhaul line or shackle. Includes vertical Pin and nylon washers to eliminate chafe against Toggle. As used on Ensign, Electra and others.

vertical Pin and nylon washers to eliminate chafe against Toggle. As used on Pearson 26

Boom Bail - 1/4" x 2 1/4" wide: K-10456:
Heavy SS Boom Bail made from 1/4" rod is designed to be attached with (1) 1/4" SS bolt and nut. Formed at 2 1/4" wide, width can be varied to fit larger or smaller sections. Bail length, from bolt center, is 2 1/2". For use with D-Section boom.

Boom Bail Bolt Ass'y - 1/4" for D-Section: K-10456BA:
Boom Bail bolt assembly includes 1/4" SS bolt x 2 3/4", with locknut, and nylon washers to prevent bail from damaging boom surface as it pivots.

Boom Vang Ball Attachment Plate for D-Section: K-2182:
Formed SS plate for attachment of Boom Vang with 1/8" wire swage ball. Allows for quick attachment and removal of Boom Vang, raised channel design allows easy installation without milling slot in boom. Channel projects approximately 3/8" from underside of Boom when installed. Formed Stainless Steel plate is 2" long x 1 7/8" high. Fastens with (6) 3/16" (#10) screws or rivets.

Formed SS plate for attachment of Boom Vang with 1/8" wire swage ball. Allows for quick attachment and removal of Boom Vang, Flush mounting design allows use with Roller-Reefing booms. Boom Vang Wire Pennant w/ Swage Ball: K-2182WP:
Wire Pennant for attachment of Boom Vang to Boom Vang Ball Attachment Plate. Pennant is 1/8" wire with swage ball and shank (MS20664-4) on one end and a nicopress and thimble on the other. Thimble allows attachment of any upper Vang block. Assembly is 6" long. Ball is suitable for all Ball Attachment Plates with a slot that is 1/4" wide or less.
