Spartan CD-2 Section Boom Tube is stocked in a variety of lengths (listed above)
fully anodized,
it can also be cut to shorter lengths. To order, specify length.
Sections can also be milled for the sail entrance or other components if necessary,
painted finishes
and other lengths are available on special order, Please specify. If you require a
complete Boom
Assembly, you can select from components below and contact us with specifications.

Listed below are parts specific to the Spartan CD-2 Boom Section. There are many parts
for unusual
configurations that are not listed here. If you require CD-2 Section Boom Components not

please contact us with details. Please note: As principal dimensions of the
Spartan Spar CD-2
Section are equivalent to those of Kenyon Spar's D-Section, all
Kenyon D-Section Boom Components will also
fit the CD-2 Boom Section.
All Aluminum Castings listed below are carefully hand finished and coated with a
baked-on Black Epoxy (to retard corrosion) as Standard. Castings are available Clear
Anodized at additional cost, add CA to part number.

CD-2 Gooseneck Ass'y Complete w/ 1/2" Slide: SP-073FS:
Cast aluminum boom end fitting includes captive SS tack pin and SS yoke, K-80,
1" SS Toggle, K-1993, and 1/2" SS Gooseneck Slide, SP-074.
Fits CD-2, CD-3 and all mast sections using 1/2" round slugs or boltrope.

Heavy-duty cast aluminum Gooseneck End incorporates a 1/4" tack pin and includes
fixed SS yolk and 1" Toggle, K-1993. Designed for use with SS
Slide SP-074, or a fixed Gooseneck Bracket such as SP-11206.
As SP-073FS, above, but without slide (SP-074).

CD-2 Roller Reefing Gooseneck Ass'y w/ 1/2" Slide: SP-073RS:
Heavy-duty cast aluminum Gooseneck End incorporates a 1/4" tack pin and includes SS
spring loaded roller reefing assembly and 1" toggle. Pulling aft on the boom allows
it to be rotated with the sail, releasing it locks it into place. Requires use of
Outhaul End with pivoting tangs SP-107-2.

Heavy-duty cast aluminum Gooseneck End incorporates a 1/4" tack pin and includes SS
spring loaded roller reefing assembly and 1" toggle. Pulling aft on the boom allows
it to be rotated with the sail, releasing it locks it into place. Designed for use with
SS Slide, SP-074, or a fixed Gooseneck Bracket such as SP-11206.
Roller-Reefing mechanism requires use of Outhaul End with pivoting tangs,
SP-107-2, or similar.
As SP-073RS, above, but without slide (SP-074).

SS Gooseneck Toggle - 1": K-1993:
SS Gooseneck Toggle attaches directly to gooseneck brackets or SS gooseneck slides
designed for a 1" Toggle, and to any boom end casting using the K-80,
or K-8890 SS yoke assemblies. Toggle is 1" square x 1
1/8" long with 1/4" holes at 90 degrees to each other on 1/2" centers. |

SS Yoke Ass'y for 1" Toggle: K-80A:
SS Yoke attaches to various boom end castings with a 3/8" bolt, and to the 1" SS
Toggle, K-1993, with a 1/4" SS bolt and locknut (included).
Yoke is formed from 1" wide stock and is 1 3/16" wide (outside), and 1
1/32" wide (inside), 1/4" hole centers are 13/16" from bottom inside. |

SS Roller-reefing Yoke Ass'y for 1" Toggle: K-8890A:
SS spring-loaded roller-reefing yoke assembly for use with boom end castings that have a
1/2" hole centered in a 1 1/4" square recess. Attaches to 1" SS Toggle, K-1993,
with a 1/4" SS bolt and locknut (included). Post is 1/2" diameter x 3 1/2"
long. Includes SS Spring, SS washers, and cotter pin. |

CD-2 Gooseneck Ass'y - No Tack: SP-118:
Heavy-duty cast aluminum Gooseneck End without Tack provision incorporates fixed SS yolk
with 5/16" bolt (included) for toggle attachment. Designed for use with CD-3.5
Gooseneck Bracket, SP-454.

CD-2 Gooseneck Casting for Club Boom: SP-565:
Elongated Gooseneck casting is commonly used with Jib Club Booms using the Bronze
Pedestal Base, SP-566. Clear anodized casting has 3/8" hole for bolt attachment.
Unit is also available complete with yoke and toggle to fit the variety of Pedestal
arrangements used over the years, please supply measurements of existing configuration.

Flat Mainsheet Tang attaches to Boom end casting using a 3/8" bolt. For use with

Mainsheet Tang is 5" long x 1" wide x .076" thick with (1) 3/8" mounting hole
and a 1/2" x 1" slot for attachment of Mainsheet block. |

Boom Section.

Boom Bail - 1/4" x 2 1/4" wide: K-10456:
Heavy SS Boom Bail made from 1/4" rod is designed to be attached with
(1) 1/4" SS bolt and nut. Formed at 2 1/4" wide, width can be varied to
fit larger or smaller sections. Bail length, from bolt center, is 2
1/2". For use with CD-2 Boom. |

to prevent bail from damaging boom surface as it pivots. |

Vang Bracket for CD-2 Boom: K-1757:
SS Vang Bracket is contoured to fit CD-2 boom and has welded triangle with 1/2" hole
for attachment of vang tackle. Unit is 2 1/2" long, and fastens with (6) 3/16"
(#10) fasteners. |

Boom Vang Ball Attachment Plate for CD-2 Boom: K-2182:
Formed SS plate for attachment of Boom Vang with 1/8" wire swage ball.
Allows for quick attachment and removal of Boom Vang, raised channel design allows easy
installation without milling slot in boom. Channel projects approximately 3/8" from
underside of Boom when installed. Formed Stainless Steel plate is 2" long x 1
7/8" high. Fastens with (6) 3/16" (#10) screws or rivets. |

Boom Vang Ball Plate for Flush Mounting: K-2182F:
Formed SS plate for attachment of Boom Vang with 1/8" wire swage ball.
Allows for quick attachment and removal of Boom Vang, flush mounting design allows use
with Roller-Reefing booms. Base is curved to fit a variety of Boom Sections, narrow
profile allows it to be bent to fit others. Formed Stainless Steel plate is 3" long x
1 1/2" wide. Mounting requires 3/8" wide x 1 1/4" long slot in Boom.
Fastens with (6) 3/16" (#10) screws or rivets. |

Boom Vang Wire Pennant w/ Swage Ball: K-2182WP:
Wire Pennant for attachment of Boom Vang to Boom Vang Ball Attachment Plate.
Pennant is 1/8" wire with swage ball and shank (MS20664-4)
on one end and a nicopress and thimble on the other. Thimble allows attachment of any
upper Vang block. Assembly is 6" long. Ball is suitable for all Ball
Attachment Plates with a slot that is 1/4" wide or less. |

Spar Cleat - 4" long: D-10324:
Cast Aluminum Open Base Spar Cleat is a low-profile design with a narrow base
suitable for use with line up to 3/8" diameter. Black Epoxy Cleat is 4" long,
and fastens to spar with (2) 3/16" (#10) FH screws on 1" centers.

Cheek Block w/ Curved Base: K-140X:
Cheek Block with curved base is used on smaller Booms for Outhaul and Reef lines.
SS Cheek Block has 1 1/16" OD Delrin Sheave suitable for use with line up to 3/8" diameter.
Base is 3 3/16" long x 7/8" wide, and fastens to spar with (4) 3/16" (#10) RH screws
on 2 11/16" (horizontal) and 1/2" (vertical) centers.
