Z-Spar has produced an incredible variety of cast aluminum Standard and Tabernacle (hinged) Mast Steps. Most Hinged (Tabernacle) Mast Steps are listed below, for Standard (non-hinging) Mast Steps, See, Z-Spar Standard Mast Steps. Deck Plate for Tabernacle Mast Step w/ 1/4" Pin: Z-1100A:
Cast aluminum Deck Plate for use with Tabernacle Mast Foot on Z145, Z170, and Z190 Mast Sections. Features holes on each side for use with Z-250 turning blocks. Mast Foot hinges on 6mm pin (Z-1719), included, which goes through holes on aft side of Deck Plate. Deck Plate measures 4 7/8" (124mm) long, by 4 1/4" (108mm) wide and fastens to deck with (4) 1/4" (6mm) FH screws.

 Vang Toggle for Tabernackle Deck Plate: Z-561:

Special SS Vang Toggle slides over Mast Step Hinge Pin in Z-1100 & Z-1101 Tabernackle Deck Plates. Formed Toggle with welded post will fit over 6mm & 8mm Hinge Pins and is 1 1/16" (27mm) wide to fit between Mast Step casting ears. Toggle has 6mm hole for attachment of shackle Pin, ears spread to 3/8" (10mm) wide to better support Shackle. Use with any 6mm Pin Shackle, or use Heavy-duty 6mm Screw Pin Bow Shackle: Z-561S:

 

 

 

 Spacer for Z-1100 Deck Plate: Z-1100SP:

Special high-density Spacer for use with Z-1100 Deck Plate. Plastic Spacer fits under Deck Plate, raising it 1 1/2" to make up for height lost when switching from Old-style Mast Foot with Sheaves, below. Spacer is drilled to match holes in Z-1100 Deck Plate.

Small Cast aluminum Mast Foot for Z190 section hinges on 6mm (1/4") pin (Z-1719) which goes through holes on aft side of Z-1100 Deck Plate. Unit is (maximum) 5" (127mm) long x 3 1/4" (82mm) wide. Unit may be labeled 1012 and/or 1096.

 
Deck Plate for Tabernacle Mast Step w/ 8mm, 5/16" Pin: Z-1101A:
Cast aluminum Deck Plate for use with Tabernacle Mast Foot on Z190, Z230 and Z265 Mast Sections. Features holes on each side for use with Z-261, Z-272 and Z-300 turning blocks, or Z-300SA Block Studs. Mast Foot hinges on 8mm (5/16") pin (Z-1316), included, which goes through holes on aft side of Deck Plate. Deck Plate measures 6" (152mm) long, by 5 1/8" (130mm) wide and fastens to deck with (4) 1/4" (6mm) FH screws.

Replacement Kit for Old-Style small Mast Feet includes Z-1100A Deck Plate, above, with special high-density Spacer, Z-1100SP, and the proper size Mast Foot and rivets to go with it. This arrangement eliminates the need to shorten rigging required with the New-Style Tabernacle alone, while maintaining Boom height. Conversion requires a separate Exit Plate, Z-3273, for halyards cleated on the Mast. For each halyard that was led through the Old-Style Mast Foot to the deck, an Exit Plate, Z-3273, and a Turning Block, Z-250 will be required (order separately). Attaches to deck with (4) 6mm (6mm) FH screws using original hole spacing. To order, specify Mast Section.
