5072 Standard Gooseneck Assemblies |
5072 Internal Gooseneck Ass'y: K-10700: Cast aluminum gooseneck assembly incorporates provisions for 4 internal lines. Lines can be lead from any sheave to the deck, or from the 2 side sheaves aft to winches or cleats on the side of the boom. Four (4) Sheaves, K-10556, will accept any combination of wire or line up to 5/8" (16mm). Unit includes 5/8" horizontal bolt with locknut for attachment of SS combination Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly K-10702A (1/2" vertical pin), or K-10702LA (5/8" vertical pin), below, but will accept most Toggles up to 1 3/8" wide. Shown with K-10702 Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly (order separately).

Gooseneck/Outhaul Sheave for 5072 Boom: K-10556:
Lightweight cast anodized aluminum sheave with integral bronze bushing is 3 3/4" OD x 3/4" wide x 1/2" ID. With wire/rope V-groove for up to 5/8" line and 1/4" wire, unit features recessed walls to minimize weight.

Gooseneck Toggle/Tack w/ Reef Hooks - 1/2": K-10702A:
Used with the Kenyon 5072 Boom, this combination Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly features two reef hooks and includes 1/2" tack fastpin, K-10718. Takes 1/2" vertical pin, and 5/8" horizontal pin. Two 7/16" reef hooks allow for ease of reefing from either side of the boom. Toggle portion is 3" high x 1 3/8" wide with 1" between pin centers. Unit (excluding Reef Hooks) is 7 1/4" high x 1 3/8" wide x 3" long, Tack Pin is 3/4" forward of, and 4 3/4" higher than Horizontal pin. Attaches directly to any Kenyon and other SS Gooseneck Brackets designed for a 3" Toggle with 1/2" vertical pin.

Clevis pin is 1/2" diameter x 4 3/8" long. Used with 5072 boom, to attach the K-10702A Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly to the Gooseneck Bracket on the mast.

5072 Outhaul Ass'y: K-10701A: Heavy-duty cast aluminum 4-sheave outhaul fitting for 5072 boom. Sheave configuration (2 centerline, 2 outboard) provides a variety of options and includes 5/8" clevis pin for topping lift attachment. Uses 3 3/4" aluminum sheaves, K-10556, for up to 5/16" wire or 5/8" line, riding on press fit knurled axles.

Boom Bail - 1/2" x 5 1/4" wide: K-11066:
Heavy SS Boom Bail made from 1/2" rod is designed to be attached with (1) 1/2" SS bolt and nut. Formed at 5 1/4" wide, width can be varied to fit larger or smaller sections. Bail length, from bolt center, is 5 1/2". For use with 5072 boom.

Boom Bail Bolt Ass'y - 1/2" for 5072 Boom: K-11066BA:
Boom Bail bolt assembly includes 1/2" SS bolt x 6 1/2", with locknut and nylon washers to prevent bail from damaging boom surface as it pivots.

Internal Boom Bail: K-11682HD:
Heavy 1/2" SS bail is welded to a SS plate that fits inside of the boom. Unit is mounted inside the boom, where bail protrudes through a 1/2" x 2 1/2" slot. Plate measures 7" long x 1 1/2" wide x 1/4" thick and has welded nuts for (4) 5/16-18 screws on 3 1/2" and 6" centers. Used on Kenyon 5072 and similar Boom Sections. #?P530

Weld-in Boom Vang Lug for 1/2" Pin: K-11700L:
Heavy-duty Aluminum Boom Vang Attachment Lug is welded into the Boom for attachment of Solid (hard) Vangs and Struts with a 1/2" Pin. Vang Lug slides into Boom, drops through a 1/2" wide x 8" long slot, and is welded in place from the outside. Lug is much longer than slot it fits in to provide stiffening and reinforcement in this high-stress area. Vang Lug is cut from 6061-T6 Plate and is (maximum) 10 1/2" long x 1/2" wide x 2 7/8" high, Lug projects approximately 1 7/8" from underside of Boom when installed. In addition to 1/2" attachment hole, a 3/8" hole is provided for a shackle to attach a preventer. Fits Most Boom Vangs with a 1/2" Pin.

Outhaul Slide for 7/8" Internal Track: K-11071:
SS Outhaul Slide features 1/2" hole for attachment of outhaul pennant and a 7/16" slot for use with a D-shackle to attach the tack of the sail. Slide is (maximum) 3 1/2" long x 1 3/8" high. Outhaul Slide for 1 1/4" T-track: K-11172:
This Heavy-duty SS Outhaul Slide was designed for use on larger yachts. Investment cast SS construction provides high strength at a minimum weight. The toggle allows for 2 clew positions with a 1/2" pin and has 1" inside clearance for extra large clew rings. Slide features 3/8" pins for toggle and outhaul pennant attachment. Captive plastic liners (K-11175) allow unit to slide freely on US standard 1 1/4" x 3/16" T-track. Slide is 4 1/2" long x 1 11/16" wide x (maximum) 4 5/16" high. Replacement Liners for K-11172 Outhaul Slide. Polyethylene Slide Liners are 4 1/4" long. K-11175P consists of 2 pieces.

Winch Pad for 5072: K-10646:
Black Urethane Winch Pad is 4 13/16" diameter, and molded to fit on centerline of 5072 section. Pad insulates winch from spar wall and properly seats it for mounting. Pad is attached to boom with 1 screw, clearance holes for screws to mount winch are then drilled through pad, winch mounting holes are drilled and tapped in spar wall.
