MetalMast Traditional Mast Sections |
|
|
MetalMast Marine used a wide variety of different Mast
Sections during their production history. In addition to building complete
spars for Boatbuilders, MetalMast sold tubes and components to others,
notably Pearson, who built their own Spars using MetalMast, and other, hardware. MetalMast Traditional Mast Sections were common on production boats through the late 1980's, the range was then replaced with the 'delta-shaped' Performance Mast Sections. While Traditional Mast Sections are generally out of production, many original Components are in stock, and custom ones are available. Most common Mast replacement parts are listed underneath the Mast Section
that they attach to. MetalMast Traditional Mast Sections are divided into 2 basic categories based on shape.

MetalMast Teardrop Mast Sections
are generally Teardrop shaped with an internal Flat Track for sail slides, early versions* had no integral track, requiring the installation of Stainless Steel Sailtrack for the mainsail. Newer versions incorporated integral tracks inside the mast for electrical wiring slides. Most, are as pictured, and use the 1/2" round wire slide, MM E-128. Those few with smaller grooves use the K-10908 wiring slides. MM-5029 - 5" x 2 15/16"
