Kenyon 3550 Boom Section


3550 Internal Gooseneck Assemblies Kenyon Internal Gooseneck Assemblies allow easy control of up to three internal lines. An outhaul on the bottom centerline which is led to a cleat on the underside of the boom, and one or two reef lines which can be cleated with integral friction-lock lever-action cams, or led to the deck and cleated aft.
Note: Kenyon Internal Gooseneck Assemblies are now equipped with the new friction-lock lever-action cams for greater holding ability, and SS cover plates to keep the reef lines captive at all times. Old-Style units featured Spring Cams (with or w/o handles), and different reef sheaves than the improved version. The Old-Style units are easily identified by the absence of the SS cover plates. While upgrading to the improved style using one of the *K-11443* Conversion Kits (below) is recommended, original parts for the Old-Style gooseneck are still available. 3550 Internal Gooseneck Ass'y w/ Toggle/Tack: K-43001A: Cast aluminum gooseneck assembly incorporates provisions for internal outhaul and 2 internal reef lines. Outhaul line exits through aluminum sheave on centerline and runs along boom bottom to a cleat. Reef lines exit port and starboard running past lever action cams, over delrin sheaves, and down. SS cover plates keep lines on sheaves at all times. Includes SS combination Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly, K-10345A. Toggle attaches to any Kenyon gooseneck bracket designed for 1 1/2" toggle and 3/8" vertical pin. Vertical pin, CP6-76K, is not included. Distance from vertical Toggle Pin to boom tube is 5 1/2". 3550 Internal Gooseneck Assembly: K-43001: As K-43001A, above, but without SS combination Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly, K-10345A. Distance from horizontal Pin hole to boom tube is 4 1/2". Parts for 3550 Internal Gooseneck Assembly.
3550 Internal Gooseneck Assembly w/o Cams: K-11126: As K-43001, above, but with SS spacers in place of the reef cams. For use where reef lines are led down to the deck and cleated aft on the cabin top. Parts for 3550 Internal Gooseneck Assembly.

Gooseneck Toggle/Tack w/ Reef Hooks: K-10345A: Used with the Kenyon E-section, 3550, and 3756 internal goosenecks, this combination Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly features 3 tack positions and includes 3/8" tack fastpin K-10557. *Takes 3/8" vertical and* horizontal pins. Two reef hooks allow for ease of reefing from either side of the boom. Toggle portion is 1 1/2" high x 7/8" wide with 1" between pin centers. Unit (excluding Reef Hooks) is 4" high x 7/8" wide x 2 1/4" long. Attaches directly to any of the Kenyon SS Gooseneck Brackets designed for a 1 1/2" Toggle with 3/8" vertical pin, CP6-76K**.
	Tack Fastpin for 1 1/2" Toggle: K-10557: SS Fastpin is 3/8" diameter x 1" long. Used in all K-10345 1 1/2" Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assemblies.
	3/8" Vertical Gooseneck Pin for 1 1/2" Toggle: CP6-76K: Clevis pin is 3/8" diameter x 2 3/8" long. Used with E-section, 3550, and 3756 internal booms, to attach the K-10345A Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly to the Gooseneck Bracket on the mast.
Long Gooseneck Toggle/Tack w/ Reef Hooks: K-10345AL: As K-10345A, above, but modified to increase the Tack Setback by 1". Greater clearance at the vertical Pin also allows for use with some Aluminum Gooseneck Brackets and Slides not compatible with the standard unit. Used with the Kenyon E-section, 3350, 3550, and 3756 Internal Goosenecks, this combination Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly features 3 tack positions and includes 3/8" tack fastpin, K-10557. *Takes 3/8" vertical pin and* 3/8" horizontal pin. Two 5/16" reef hooks allow for ease of reefing from either side of the boom. Toggle portion is 1 1/2" high** x 7/8" wide with 2" between vertical and horizontal pin centers. Unit (excluding Reef Hooks) is 4" high x 7/8" wide x 3 1/4" long. Toggle fits all Kenyon Mast Brackets and a variety of Gooseneck Slides designed for a 1 1/2" Toggle with a 3/8" vertical pin.
Double Reef Cam Conversion Kit for 3550: K-11443: Cam Conversion Kit for 3550 Gooseneck converts Old-Style Spring-Cam arrangement to the New-Style friction cam assembly. Easily installed Kit includes everything necessary for 2 reef lines including Cam levers, adjustable friction washers, reef sheaves, SS spacers, Cover plates, bolts and locknuts. *New-Style Sheave Conversion Kit for 3550: K-11443NC:* Sheave Conversion Kit for 3550 Gooseneck converts Old-Style Gooseneck to the New-Style with Cover Plates, Sheaves, and No cams. Easily installed Kit includes everything necessary for leading reef lines down and aft, including (2) reef sheaves, (4) SS spacers, Port and Starboard Cover plates, bolts and locknuts. No machining is required. Individual components are listed separately, See Parts for 3550 Internal Gooseneck Assembly. As K-11443, above, but with 2 SS Spacers to replace the reef cams. This Kit converts any 3550 Internal Reefing Gooseneck (Old or New-Style) to the K-11126 Gooseneck Assembly, above.
SS Gooseneck Slide for 1 1/4" x 3/16" Flat Track & 1 1/2" Toggle: K-10430M:
Special SS Gooseneck Slide specially designed for use with Kenyon K-10345-series Gooseneck Toggle/Tack Assemblies. Slide fits 1 1/4" x 3/16" SS Flat Track (and Kenyon 1 1/4" Gooseneck Track, as well as standard 1 1/4" aluminum T-Track). SS Gooseneck Slide is 4" high x (maximum) 1 1/2" wide and fits most 1 1/2" Toggles using a 3/8" vertical pin or bolt. Slide has heavy welded SS ring for attachment of downhaul line or shackle.

3550 Internal Outhaul Assemblies
*3550 Internal Outhaul Ass'y: K-11472:* Cast aluminum boom end fitting has centerline aluminum sheave for up to 3/16" wire or 3/8" line, and (2) 1 7/8" nylon sheaves for up to 7/16" reef lines. Includes 3/8" clevis pin for topping lift attachment. New-style fitting requires no tube cutting to mount. Unit extends 2 7/8" (maximum) aft of the boom tube. 3550 Internal Outhaul Ass'y for Cut-away Boom: K-43003: Lightweight cast aluminum 3-sheave boom end fits in boom end with upper end cutout and lower angled cut-away for minimum weight. Includes centerline aluminum outhaul sheave for up to 3/16" wire or 3/8" line, and (2) 1 7/8" nylon sheaves for up to 7/16" reef lines. Includes 3/8" clevis pin for topping lift attachment. 3550 Internal Outhaul Tackle, 4-1: K-90231M: Internal Outhaul Tackle for use with 3550 Boom provides a 4-1 purchase. Block and Tackle assembly includes 25' of 5/16" line and 13' of 1/8" wire spliced to the Blocks. Becket block attaches to bolt at forward end of boom, line exits through centerline Gooseneck sheave, wire exits through centerline sheave in outhaul assembly. Wire length is suitable for longest standard length boom, but must be cut shorter in most applications. Includes fiddle block, single block w/ becket, spliced line, wire, and loose captive-pin Clew shackle w/ thimble & nicopress. An 1/8" Nicopress Tool is required for installation. 05

Gooseneck Assembly for Kenyon 3550 Boom with Toggle and Tack Fitting. Toggle is 2 1/4" high with a 3/8" vertical pin. Gooseneck Assembly includes Bronze Gooseneck Toggle, K-2163BT, SS 3-position Tack Assembly, *K-2166-33A, and 3/8" x 4 1/2" vertical bolt with locknut and nylon washers. Attaches to a variety of Gooseneck Brackets and Slides designed for a 2 1/4" Toggle with 3/8" vertical pin. As used on Endeavour 32, and others.*
*3550 External Gooseneck Ass'y w/ Toggle: K-2165AT:* Simple Gooseneck Assembly with Toggle for Kenyon 3550 Boom. Toggle is 2 1/4" high with a 3/8" vertical pin hole. Gooseneck Assembly includes SS Yoke Assembly, *K-2165Y, and Bronze Gooseneck Toggle, K-2163BT.* Attaches to a variety of Gooseneck Brackets and Slides designed for a 2 1/4" Toggle with 3/8" vertical pin.
	3550 External Gooseneck - Casting only: K-2165C: 3550 Gooseneck Casting only, as in *K-2165A* assemblies, above. Black Epoxy coated casting has recess (2" wide x 1 1/2" high) with 3/8" hole for attachment of SS Yoke.
	Heavy-duty SS Yoke Ass'y w/ 3/8" Bolt: K-2165Y: SS Yoke has 3/8" horizontal bolt with locknut, and attaches to various boom end castings with a 3/8" bolt. Yoke is welded from heavy 1/4" stock and is (maximum) 1 7/8" wide x 1 1/2" high, 3/8" hole centers are 1" from bottom inside. Yoke will accept a variety of Toggles with a 3/8" horizontal Pin, up to 1 3/8" wide.
	Bronze Gooseneck Toggle - 2 1/4" High: K-2163BT: Cast Bronze Gooseneck Toggle accommodates *3/8" vertical and* horizontal pins.** Bronze Toggle is 2 1/4" high x 7/8" wide x 1 7/8" (maximum) long, pin holes are on 1" centers. Toggle fits a variety of Mast Brackets and Gooseneck Slides designed for a 2 1/4" Toggle with a 3/8" vertical pin. 5072 4960
	*3-position Tack Ass'y for 3/8" Vertical Bolt: K-2166-33A:* Heavy-duty Stainless Steel 3-position Tack Assembly mounts under head of 3/8" Vertical Gooseneck Bolt. Dual Reef Hook Assembly is 1 3/8" wide, 3" high, and has 1" clearance for Tack. Heavy welded Assembly features 3 Tack positions for 3/8" SS Tack Fastpin, K-10557L, included. 	Tack Fastpin for K-2166-33A Tack Ass'y: K-10557L: SS Fastpin is 3/8" diameter x 1 1/2" long. Used in SS 3-position Tack Assembly, K-2166-33A.
3550 Outhaul Assembly: K-2169: Simple outboard boom end for Kenyon 3550 Boom has 1/2" hole for outhaul attachment and 3/8" hole for topping lift pin. Cast aluminum boom end is fastened to contoured Stainless Steel plate with attachment points for outhaul and topping lift. No tube cutouts are required for mounting.

3550 Standard Boom Accessories
Boom Bail - 3/8" x 3 1/2" wide: K-2172: Heavy SS Boom Bail made from 3/8" rod is designed to be attached with (1) 3/8" SS bolt and nut. Formed at 3 1/2" wide, width can be varied to fit larger or smaller sections. Bail length, from bolt center, is 3 1/2". For use with 3550 boom.
	Boom Bail Bolt Ass'y - 3/8" for 3550 Boom: K-2172BA: Boom Bail bolt assembly includes 3/8" SS bolt x 4 1/2", with locknut and nylon washers to prevent bail from damaging boom surface as it pivots.
Internal Boom Bail: K-11428: Heavy 5/16" SS bail is welded to a SS plate formed to fit the *inside* of the boom. Unit is mounted inside the boom, where bail protrudes through a 5/16" x 1 1/2" slot, and is held in place with (2) 3/16" SS rivets on 3 1/4" centers. Curved plate measures 4" long x 1 3/8" wide.
Heavy-duty Weld-in Vang Tab: K-11700L: Heavy-duty Aluminum Boom Vang Attachment Lug is welded into the Boom for attachment of Solid (hard) Vangs and Struts with a 1/2" Pin. Vang Lug slides into Boom, drops through a 1/2" wide x 8" long slot, and is welded in place from the outside. Lug is much longer than slot it fits in to provide stiffening and reinforcement in this high-stress area. Vang Lug is cut from 6061-T6 Plate and is (maximum) 10 1/2" long x 1/2" wide x 2 7/8" high, Lug projects approximately 1 7/8" from underside of Boom when installed. In addition to 1/2" attachment hole, a 3/8" hole is provided for a shackle to attach a preventer. Fits Most Boom Vangs with a 1/2" Pin.

Outhaul Slide Ass'y for 3/4" Internal Track: K-43009: Outhaul Slide Assembly features pivoting toggle with 2-position clew attachment using 5/16" clevis pin, and separate pin for attachment of outhaul pennant. Slide is (maximum) 3 3/4" long x 3/4" wide, and 3 1/4" high. For 3550, 3756 and other Boom sections with 3/4" Internal Track. Also, see other Outhaul Slide Assemblies for 3/4" Internal Track Booms.
*Winch Pad for 3550: K-10639:* Black Urethane Winch Pad is 3 7/8" diameter, and molded to fit on centerline of 3550 section. Pad insulates winch from spar wall and properly seats it for mounting. Pad is attached to boom with 1 screw, clearance holes for screws to mount winch are then drilled through pad, winch mounting holes are drilled and tapped in spar wall. w/3H
*Spar Cleat - 4" long: D-10324:* Cast Aluminum Spar Cleat is a low-profile design with a narrow base suitable for use with line up to 3/8" diameter. Commonly used for Outhaul Line. Black Epoxy coated Cleat is 4" long, and fastens to spar with (2) 3/16" (#10) FH screws on 1 3/16" centers. See also, other Kenyon Spar Cleats.
*Spar Cleat - 5" long: D-10325:* Cast Aluminum Spar Cleat is a low-profile design with a narrow base suitable for use with line up to 1/2" diameter. Black Epoxy coated Cleat is 5" long, and fastens to spar with (2) 7/32" (#12) FH screws on 1 1/2" centers. See also, other Kenyon Spar Cleats.
*Clam Cleat w/ Fairlead & Curved Base: K-9116X:* Clam Cleat with fairlead is used in place of standard Spar Cleat for frequent Outhaul adjustment in racing applications. Best mounted forward of an eyestrap (K-226) with small block (Har 082, or equivalent). Suitable for use with 3/16"-5/16" (4-8mm) line, black plastic unit fastens with (2) #10 (3/16") x 3/4" FH Screws on 2 1/8" (55mm) centers. Unit measures 3 7/16" long x 7/8" wide (88x22mm). CL231 Midi
*SS Eyestrap: K-226:* Small Stainless Steel Eyestrap is used for securing smaller items to boom. Attaches to Boom with (2) 3/16" (#10, 5mm) screws or rivets.
*Single Bullet Block: Har 082:* Small single Bullet Block is used for the Outhaul line on the bottom of the Boom. Plastic Ball-Bearing Block has 1 1/8" OD Delrin Sheave suitable for use with line up to 5/16" diameter. Use with K-226 Eyestrap and K-9116X Clam Cleat, above.
*Cheek Block w/ Curved Base: K-140X:* Cheek Block with curved base to fit Kenyon 3550 Boom is used for topping lift. SS Cheek Block has 1 1/16" OD Delrin Sheave suitable for use with line up to 3/8" diameter. Base is 3 3/16" long x 7/8" wide, and fastens to spar with (4) 3/16" (#10) RH screws on 2 11/16" (horizontal) and 1/2" (vertical) centers.
