Mastheads Listed below are standard Mastheads for rigs using the Kenyon 4066 High Performance Mast Section, and parts for others. Fractional and tapered masts normally use welded-in mastheads for maximum strength with minimum weight. A variety Custom mastheads are available as well, please inquire.

Masthead Assembly for Masthead Rig: K-11347:
Double channel extruded aluminum Masthead Assembly for 4066 mast section incorporates (4) 2 1/2" dia. aluminum sheaves, K-198-10A, for internal or external wire or rope halyards. Includes 3/8" pins for attachment of slotted SS Toggles for headstay and backstay (K-10511 series - order separately), and 1/4" topping lift pin. Masthead fits in 3" x 1 5/8" wide slot cut into fore and aft sides of the mast tube. Pre-drilled for attachment of Spinnaker Halyard Bail K-10454 (order separately). Masthead Spinnaker Bail: K-10454:
SS 5/16" bail is welded to a Trapezoidal SS plate which bolts to the top of the masthead with (3) 1/4" x 3/4" screws and locknuts. Trapezoidal plate measures 2" long x 2 7/8" (maximum) wide. Aft screw holes are on 2" centers, Bail is angled downward and projects 1 3/4" forward of plate. Mounting requires drilling (3) 1/4" holes. Designed for use with K-11347 Masthead Assembly. Attaches with (3) 1/4" x 3/4" screws and locknuts.

Stainless Steel Chafe Cage Assembly for K-11782A Masthead Assembly encloses centerline halyard and protects wing halyards from the headstay attachment point. Lightweight welded Chafe Cage attaches to Mast with (3) #10 (3/16") screws.

Aluminum Jib Box Assembly w/ 1/2" Pin: K-11597-2: Cast aluminum four (4) halyard internal Jib Box Assembly with 3/8" or 1/2" pin and Forestay Toggle. Accommodates two spinnaker halyards over two jib halyards, in a trim, narrow and lightweight unit. Features heavy-duty Nylatron Sheaves: (2) 2" Sheaves for Spinnaker Halyards, K-11594; (1) 2" Sheave for Upper Jib Halyard, K-11640; (1) 1 3/4" Sheave for Lower Jib Halyard, K-11639; and (2) 5/8" secondary Sheaves (forward) for the 2 Upper Halyards, K-11585. Jib Halyard Sheaves are suitable for use with wire or rope halyards. All Sheaves are 1/2" wide for snag free handling of halyards up to 3/8" diameter. SS Jib Box Ass'y w/ 3/8" or 1/2" Pin: K-10658X: Welded SS four (4) halyard internal Jib Box Assembly with 3/8", or 1/2" pin for Forestay Toggle. Accommodates two spinnaker halyards over two jib halyards. This heavy Jib Box was used on a variety of MORC boats including many of the J/30's and J/29F's. Assembly fits in mast cutout 9 3/8" high x 13/16" wide, and projects 2" inside of mast. Mounting flange is fastened to the Mast with (12) 1/4" fasteners. This part is discontinued, having been replaced by the much lighter K-11597-1, above. A sheave and bushing replacement kit, K-10658SK, is available, see below. Please note: When replacing this item with the new K-11597-1 (the mast cutout needs to be widened and extended downward), the Forestay pin will be 1" higher on the mast; the forestay length will change accordingly. Spreaders The Kenyon 4066 High Performance Mast Section normally uses Kenyon SP-3, and SP-4 airfoil spreaders with thru-bar spreader systems. These systems have been proven through many years of top-level racing, and are now the norm on most racing yachts. Standard (0 degree) bars for Kenyon SP Spreader sections are listed below. Spreader Bar for SP-3 Spreader - 0 degree aft: K-11295:
Stainless Steel Bar assembly is used with Kenyon SP-3 Spreaders for rigs with in-line spreaders. Installed through a 3/16" x 2 1/4" slot in the mast, the bar is held in place with roll pins (included) on each side. Holes (1/4") for spreader attachment and roll pins (1/8") are pre-drilled. Unit is 10" long x 2 1/4" wide, and has a 5-degree vertical angle. Fits 4060 and 4066 Sections.

Stainless Steel Bar assembly is used with Kenyon SP3 Spreaders for rigs with spreaders at 3° aft. Installed through a 3/16" x 2 1/4" slot in the mast, the bar is held in place with roll pins (included) on each side. Holes (1/4") for spreader attachment are pre-drilled, holes for roll pins (1/8") are pre-drilled for 4" wide Mast Sections, for other Mast Sections new roll pin holes can be drilled, or unit can be used without. Unit is 10" long x 2 1/4" wide, and has a 5-degree vertical angle. Used with 4060 and 4066 Mast Sections. Special as used on Ericson 28 Mk. 2 and others.

Sail Slide Stop: K-11198:
Sail Slide Stop works to keep sail slides from coming out of the sail entrance when the mainsail is lowered. Aluminum Slide Stop is 7/16" diameter x 1" long with SS thumb screw, thumb screw features captive nylon washer to prevent damage to mast surface.

SS Thumbscrew for use with Kenyon Mainsail Gates. SS Thumbscrew has a 10-32 thread and is 1/2" long (under head).

Roller Prefeeder: K-11087: Heavy-duty SS Roller Prefeeder automatically feeds boltrope mainsails into mast. Large diameter rollers eliminate friction and chafe. Supplied with threaded slug and screws to clamp it in luff groove, below sail entrance. Adjust higher or lower until feeding is perfect. Fits any mast section that uses boltrope.

Gooseneck Toggle/Tack w/ Reef Hooks: K-10345A:
Used with the K-10650 and K-11361 gooseneck brackets, this combination Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly features 3 tack positions and includes 3/8" tack fastpin (K-10557). Takes 3/8" vertical pin (CP6-76K), and 3/8" horizontal pin. Two 5/16" reef hooks allow for ease of reefing from either side of the boom. Toggle portion is 1 1/2" high x 7/8" wide with 1" between pin centers. Unit (excluding Reef Hooks) is 4" high x 7/8" wide x 2 1/4" long. Attaches directly to any of the Kenyon SS Gooseneck Brackets designed for a 1 1/2" Toggle with 3/8" vertical pin. Fits E section, 3550, and 3756 standard boom goosenecks.

This SS welded unit is suitable for use as a Vang or Gooseneck Bracket. Bracket uses a 3/8" vertical pin, CP6-76K, below, and has clearance for a 1 1/2" toggle. Base is 5" vertical x approximately 3" wide, and attaches to the Mast with (8) 1/4" fasteners. Use with any Vang Toggle, listed below.

Used with the K-10650 or K-11361 Gooseneck Brackets, this SS toggle results in a fully pivoting vang bracket to minimize working stresses. Large 3/4" horizontal hole allows for attachment of any shackle or block.

Electrical Access Plate: RR 72-99:
Electrical Access Plate is designed to allow access to internal electrical plugs above the mast step, without having to unstep the mast. Saves much in frustration and money by allowing you to check mast wiring connections with the mast up. Mast Step Base Plate Adapter: K-11780:
Mast Step Base Plate Adapter converts standard mast step for use with external adjustment screws, on keel-stepped rigs. Fastens with (4) 3/8" FH screws in internal adjustment slots of 4066 mast step, K-11451. Allows for precise positioning without un-stepping the mast. Anodized aluminum plate is 5/16" thick, and measures 9 1/4" long x 5 1/2" wide. Fastens to keelson with (4) 3/8" bolts in Slots that allow for 1 1/8" adjustment.
