| Cast Aluminum Stanchion Bases have been produced in a variety
of configurations, by many different Boat Builders and Hardware manufacturers. If a
Stanchion Base you require is not listed here, please contact us with a sketch and
complete dimensions, including base footprint, hole spacing, and angle.
All Stanchion Bases listed here are for use with 1" (25.4mm) Stanchions, unless otherwise noted.

Triangular Stanchion Base: GS 36-1T:
Triangular Stanchion Base attaches to Deck with (3) 6mm FH screws on 2 1/2" centers. Polished cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 3 3/4" (95mm) long x 3 1/8" (78mm) (athwartships) x 2 5/8" high with clear anodized finish, and has hole (fore & aft) for roll pin to secure stanchion.

Triangular Stanchion Base w/ Bail: GS 36-1TB:
Triangular Stanchion Base with Bail attaches to Deck with (3) 6mm FH screws on 2 3/4" (70mm) centers. Polished cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 3 1/2" (89mm) long x 3 1/4" (82mm) (athwartships) x 2 1/2" high with clear anodized finish, and has hole (fore & aft) for roll pin to secure stanchion. As used on Westerly Consort 28, Tempest 31, Corsair 36, and others.

Toerail Mounted Stanchion Base: GS 36-2TC:
Triangular Toerail-mounted Stanchion Base attaches to Toerail with (2) 6mm (1/4") RH screws on 1 3/4" (44.5mm) centers. Polished cast aluminum Base is 2 15/16" (74mm) long x 2 15/16" (74mm) high x 2 1/2" (37mm) thick with clear anodized finish, and has hole (fore & aft) for cotter pin to secure stanchion. Commonly used with SB 36-AT-2 Aluminum Stanchion on Moody, Prout, and others. ###

Toerail Mounted Stanchion Base: Jean 36-1TCA: Stanchion Base mounts in 4 3/4" (120mm) break between Toerail sections and attaches to Deck with (4) 6mm FH screws. Polished cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 5 1/8" (130mm) long x 3 3/4" (94mm) high with clear anodized finish, and has hole (athwartships) for roll pin to secure stanchion. As used on Jeanneau 39, O'Day 39/40, Symphonie 30 and others. This item is no longer available and is shown here for identification only.

Stanchion Base for C&C Redline 25: SB 36-125CC:
Special for C&C Yachts. Square Base with curved bottom has Stanchion at 45° angle. Base measures 3 1/2" x 3 3/8" and attaches to Deck with (4) 1/4" FH screws. Cast aluminum Base is clear anodized. As used on C&C Redline 25.

Toerail Mounted Stanchion Base for C&C: SB 36-202CC:
Special for C&C Yachts. Stanchion Base fits over Toerail and attaches to Deck with (3) 1/4" FH screws, 2 of which go through Toerail. Screws (through Toerail) are on 2 3/8" centers. Stanchion is attached with a 1/4" RH screw, hole in Stanchion is normally tapped for 1/4" screw. Cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 3 1/2" long x 3 5/8" wide with black epoxy finish. This unit was replaced in C&C production by the redesigned SB 36-203CC, below, eliminating an additional Deck hole. As used on C&C 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, and others. -'81a204

Toerail Mounted Stanchion Base for C&C: SB 36-203CC:
Special for C&C Yachts. Stanchion Base fits over Toerail and attaches to Deck (through Toerail) with (2) 1/4" FH screws on 2 3/8" centers, a third 1/4" FH screw (included) goes through Stanchion and Toerail. Small lip on outboard side touches deck. Cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 3 1/2" long x 2 5/8" wide with black epoxy finish. This unit replaced the earlier SB 36-202CC, above, in C&C production, eliminating an additional Deck hole, and is the preferred option when refinishing the deck or converting from the SS bases. As used on some C&C 29, 35, 37, 41's; later Grampians, and many others. c

Special for C&C Yachts. Stanchion Base fits over Toerail and attaches to Deck (through Toerail) with (2) 1/4" FH screws on 2 5/8" centers, a third 1/4" FH screw (included) goes through Stanchion and Toerail, bottom is flat. Cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 3 7/8" long x 2 1/2" wide with black epoxy finish. As used on C&C 38 Mk1, 38 Mk2, 39, 40; the Nautilus 40, and others.

Special for C&C Yachts. Stanchion Base fits over Toerail and attaches to Deck with (4) 1/4" RH screws, 2 of which go through Toerail. Screws are on 2 3/4" (outboard) and 1 9/16" (inboard) centers. Stanchion is attached with a 1/4" RH screw that goes through Toerail and into Stanchion, hole in Stanchion is normally tapped for 1/4" screw. Cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 3 5/8" long x 3 3/8" wide with black epoxy finish. As used on C&C 27V, 33 Mk2, 34+, 34R, 35Mk3, 38Mk3, 37+, 37R, 41; the Wave 26, and others.

Molded Black Plastic Base is (maximum) 3 5/8" long x 3 3/8" wide. As used on C&C 37R, and others. This item is no longer available, having been replaced by the Aluminum version SB 36-255CC, above.

Cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 4" long x 2 3/4" wide x 2" high with black epoxy finish.

Special Stanchion Base for CS 27: SB 36-CS027: Special Stanchion Base as used on early CS 27's. Base sits flat on Deck and attaches to Deck with (2) 1/4" FH screws, unusual style incorporates a vertical male stud, that stanchion fits over. Cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 5" long x 2 3/4" wide with black anodized finish.

Special for CS 27, 30, and 33. Base sits on Toerail and attaches to Deck with (3) 1/4" FH screws, 2 of which go through Toerail on 4 1/16" centers, center hole is 1 3/4" inboard of others. Cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 5" long x 2 3/4" wide with clear anodized finish. Compatible with CS 747-1 (Size 1) Toerail.

Special for CS 34, 36, and 40. Base sits on Toerail and attaches to Deck with (3) 5/16" FH screws, 2 of which go through Toerail on 3 7/8" centers, center hole is 1 1/2" inboard of others. Cast aluminum Base is (maximum) 5" long x 3" wide with clear anodized finish. Compatible with CS 747-2, and CS 747-3 (Size 2 and 3) Toerails.
